What is Hypnosis?

We’ve all heard of hypnosis. We’ve all seen hypnosis.

And believe it or not, we’ve all experienced hypnosis firsthand, too.

So, what is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is simply a state of intense physical relaxation and focused concentration. It is experienced daily by just about everyone because it is the state between awake and asleep.

Yes, this means that every night as you’re falling asleep, you have to pass through the state of hypnosis to get there.

And it is found is so many aspects of our daily lives – tv and film, music, theatre, yoga, meditation, sports performance (hypnosis has become especially popular with golfers), and so much more.

As I’ve learned more and more about hypnosis over the past year, so many of my interests – which are pretty varied – suddenly seemed to make sense in a more cohesive way.

Theatre – absolutely hypnotic. Meditation – yes! Dancing – yes! Pottery – yes! And most of my favorite books I’ve read over the past 20 years include hypnosis in their stories in some way or another. It’s amazing!

And now I’m looking forward to bringing this amazing gift to so many others.
