Today’s blog will be the first in a series of different aspects of hypnosis for weight loss.
As a certified hypnotist, I am asked frequently about hypnosis for weight loss. It has become one of my favorite topics to work with because I get to help people change their lives.
Because weight is such a multifaceted issue and each client’s needs are different, working with hypnosis includes addressing a number of different issues all aimed at the goal of living a healthier, happier life.
Hypnosis is so effective for weight loss because unlike many other fitness and nutrition programs, hypnosis allows us to address the subconscious causes at the core of the issue.
One of the main aspects of working with weight loss clients is promoting self-care. For so many people, especially mothers, their self-care has been put on the back burner for far too long and the idea of self-care seems selfish to them. Weight loss can often be seen as vain or self-serving.
Here is why this is a major roadblock with weight loss: If you don’t believe you deserve to take care of yourself, to be the healthiest version of yourself, or if you think taking the time to be healthy is taking away from your family, then losing the weight you desire to lose becomes (or remains) a challenge.
Why Self-Care is Essential
Promoting your own self-care is essential for your success. Weight loss makes you healthier, more energetic, more confident, and generally happier. This benefits not only you, but your family, your friends, and your entire life in one way or another.
As a hypnotist, I work with you to reframe these beliefs on a subconscious level. Changing your mindset around weight loss and how this can benefit your life overall, not just the size of your pants, helps you to give yourself permission to take care of yourself and to fully embrace your goals.
