Want to know how to get the most out of any hypnosis recording?
Hypnosis recordings are often used in conjunction with live hypnosis sessions to help reinforce the changes and outcomes you desire. They can also be a cost-effective option if private sessions aren’t quite in your budget at the moment.
While recordings most often aren’t customized specifically for you, they still can help you make some amazing changes in your life.
So here are my top 3 tips on how to get the most out of your hypnosis recording.
1. Get to “know” your hypnotist.
Before buying a recording, check out the hypnotist’s website to learn a little about who they are, their credentials, and know what they sound like. Watch their videos, check out their free recordings if available.
Why? Because knowing and trusting your hypnotist helps you to relax and trust the entire process. And this will make each session more effective.
2. Make sure you have time
Make sure you have time to listen comfortably to the entire recording without interruption. Find a quiet and comfortable place where you can listen undisturbed. I usually listen to recordings before I go to bed at night or first thing in the morning.
Giving yourself the uninterrupted time to fully invest in the session will allow you to relax and fully experience the session. Also, it’s best to listen all the way through to the very end, when the hypnotist brings you out of hypnosis. Otherwise, you may be a little groggy for a bit afterwards.
3. Just allow yourself to have the experience
Don’t overthink it and don’t try too hard. One thing that I hear the most after people listen to recordings is that they don’t think they were hypnotized…and then they go on to describe hypnosis to a T.
Why? Because most people expect hypnosis to be something specific….but it feels different for different people and may feel different every time. It may feel like you’re sinking into the couch or chair or bed you’re on. It may feel like you’re floating. You may feel like the hypnotist’s voice is drifting in and out. Or it may feel like you’re just listening to someone talk to you. And all of these are totally normal. So just relax and have the experience.
So I hope you’ve enjoyed these tips and that they help you get the most of your hypnosis recordings.
